Lamborghini gallardo one of the luxury cars in the world

Thanks to solid investment from Audi, 2003 sees the launch of the first 'baby' Lamborghini in 16 years, the stunning Gallardo. Not since the Jalpa of the mid 1980's has Lamborghini been able to offer a smaller performance car to compete against the likes of the Ferrari 360 and Porsche 911 GT3. A 5-litre V10 pushes out almost 500bhp offering performance not too shy of big brother Murcielago, 60mph arrives in around 4 seconds on it's way to 192mph all out. All that power is transferred through either a 6-speed manual or optional sequential gearbox (also offering three gearshift modes to suit even the hardest of drivers). With good looks (except the rear?). rabid performance and solid build quality the Gallardo looks more than a match for it's rivals from Porsche and Ferrari.
